announcement on COVID-19

Dear friends, fans, teachers and parents:

Efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) have had a wide impact on New York City and beyond. With heavy hearts, but in consideration for the health of our guests and staff, and in compliance with local and state authorities (e.g. no gatherings of 500+ people, non-essential school assemblies and plays canceled), The Paper Bag Players are canceling events through April 24. Shows and workshops beyond that time will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis as we draw closer to the date. We will be reaching out to schools affected by these cancellations, but if you have questions, please contact our office: (212) 353-2332,

While we are very sad that we will not be able to perform HERE WE GO! for the thousands of children scheduled to see our shows, we know we are all in this together: Broadway has gone dark, as have sporting and cultural events around the city and globe. Once this crisis is behind us all, we look forward to sharing our theater and workshops with you again. Stay tuned!
